Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation is a sitcom starring Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope. The show chronicles Leslie and her coworker's shenanigans in their tiny little parks department office in the fictional town of Pawnee Indiana as they try to make their small town a better place to live, whether the townsfolk like it or not.

The first article I read was a review by Alasdair Wilkins at avclub.com of the sixth season hour long special episode “London, Part 1 & 2.” Wilkin's review starts by giving a general critique of the show itself up to this point before going over the actual episode. Although this is a positive review of the show, Wilkin's choice of words can sometimes sound harsh and negative, and at one point he even acknowledges that he didn't mean for his statement to sound so harsh.

The second article I read was a review of the sixth season finale by Matt Fowler at ign.com. Fowler's review feels more like a love letter than a review, as he is clearly a HUGE fan of the show. The article is filled with nothing but optimism and praise for the show. He also throws in some playful slang words like "freakin'" on more than one occasion. Fowler even recognizes some typical sitcom tropes that he noticed in the episode but he quickly states the just doesn't care. He ultimately gave the episode a perfect 10/10 score and called it "a masterpiece."
